Pictured above are scenes of some of the destruction wrought
by vandals to markers on the graves in the Long Cemetery.

off Bloomingdale Road, is over 100 years old and since the
old Long Church, which was located next to the cemetery, has
been sold and torn down the 'property was turned over to the
Cross Creek Township Trustees for upkeep.
Mr. Ray Long, who reported the target shooting and vandelism
to the paper, reportea mere were thirty two markers turned over
and the lead underneath them taken. Mr. Long also said that
four years ago sixteen markers were torn down and they had to
use a wrecker to put them back on their graves.
The employees are presently putting a fence around the ceme-
