Jefferson County Pharmacists Elect Officers
The Jefferson County Academy of Pharmacy held a meeting at the Steubenville Country Club
and elected the officers and board pictured above. Seated (left to right)-Bart Marano-Secretary,

Sandra Weeks Receives
Rainbow Girls Grand Cross

Sandra Weeks, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. Frank Weeks, 853
Main St., Wintersville, 0. was
one of the receipients from the
Steubenville area who recieved
the Grand Cross at the 34th
Assembly of the International
Order of Rainbow Girls. The
Assembly was held on the campus
of Ohio University at Athens,
Ohio recently. Sandra also re-
ceived an appointment to a state
office in the Ohio Assembly.
She was appointed Jr. Executive
and was installed in that office
in a very impressive and color-
ful installation ceremony.
Sandra, a Past Worthy Advisor
of the Steubenville Assembly No.
55, Order of Rainbow Girls, is
presently attending the College of
Steubenville and is employed
part time by the Union SavJIngs
Bank and Trust Company and Paul
Hornung's Bakery.
She recently represented the
Steubenville Rainbow's Drill
team. in a Queen's contest held
at the Unionport Annual Fire-
man's Fair. She placed 5th in
that contest.
The Steubenville Assembly of
Rainbow Girls Drill Team also
won honors at Athens, having
placed 3rd in the State in ac-
tivities, based on ticket sales.
Diana Wyatt of Weirton is the
Worthy Advisor and Mrs. Le-
roy Cable, Mother Advisor of
the Steubenville Assembly No.
55, Order of The Rainbow Girls.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley McGrew,
the Drill Instructors for the Drill
Team, Mrs. Cable and 30 girls,
chartered a bus for their trip
to Athens. The group returned
home very proud of Sandra and
the entire Drill Team.
Plans For 4-H Style Show In Final Stages
The East Springfield Dodgers, members ot the Richmond Little League, have completed the
season with an astounding 20 wins 0 losses.

its honor roll for the Spring
Quarter, listing names of under-
graduate students who achieved
high academic averages for that
period. Local students who were

LEAGUE ALL-STARS
TO PLAY IN
RICHMOND TOURNAMERT
The American League All-Stars
will represent Wintersville Little
League In the Richmond Little
League tournament.
The team will play at the Rich-
mopd Little League Field tonight
at 6:00 p.m.
Coach Pee Wee Pearce and his
assistants Ray DalfonsoandRudy
Taliani will journey with the
ball club.
Plans for the 1965 4-H Style
Show are in the final stages.
The theme will be "Rainbow
of Fashion." It will be held
in the auditorium 'of the new
Wintersville Jr. High School on
Thursday, August 5 at 1:00 p.m..
Approximately 150 4-H girls
are entered to model garments
of their own making. Featured
during the show will be a Wool
Tweed Cape of Black and White
over a White Whip Creme dress.
Also a matching 3 piece outfit
consisting of Jacket, Hipstitched
pleated skirt and slacks in colors
of pumpkin gold, beige and
avacado check plaid wool. The

The Starkdale United Presby-
terian Church of Steubenville,
Ohio will hold Church School
and Morning Worship Service
at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, August
1, 1965. The guest speaker will
be Daniel DeNicola and the Ser-
mon Topic: "Ecce Home (Be-
hold The ManY'.

Final judging will be held on
the morning of August 5 at the
school's class rooms. The
winners will be announced at the
end of the show and are eligible
to go on to the State Fair with
their projects.
The Committee for the Style
Show is Mavis Rower, New Som-
erset, Chairman, who will do the
commentary and Mrs. Ruth
Brown, Smithfield; Mrs. Leva-
Hill, Richmond, Mrs. Helen Hunt,
Wintersville and Mrs. Mary
Workman, Irondale.
They invite all those interested
to attend.
Annual Grange
Picnic To Be Held
The annual Grange Picnic for
Grange members, their families
and friends, will be held Sunday,
August 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Schneider, County Grange Depu-
ties, on Route #48, West of Rich-
mond.
