Developers Requesting Traffic Light
Discussion of a traffic light at the east corporation line of Wintersville was requested by the De-
velopers of Thrift City and Wintersville Shopping Plaza. Engineers from the State Department met
last Friday to reach an agreement as to the best location for a traffic light, to be used by both shopping
areas. D.C.K. Developers are eager to have a light installed, which would help in acquiring a lease
with a large Dept. Store for the very near future in the Thrift City Building. This is one of the re-
quirements from the Department Store firm made to the Developers. The State Engineers requested
that the Developers submit plans and they would in turn, recommend a feasible solution to this situation.
Members of the two Developing Firms present were: John and Barry Dixon, D.D. Cohen, Tony and
Albert Teramana, Morris Katz and Wayne and Mitch Boich. Representing the State Engineering Dept.
were Gordon Bookman, Clem Krieger and R.P. Watson. Mayor Anthony Petrozzi and Geno Morelli,
president of the Chamber of Commerce, were also present.
